Learning Disabilities Association of America

LearningDisabilitiesAssoc 359

If you are a parent or teacher of a child with a learning disability – or have learning disabilities yourself – you are not alone.

Since 1963, Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) has provided support to people with learning disabilities, their parents, teachers and other professionals with  information on learning disabilities, practical solutions, and a network of resources.

Made possible by a grant from the Learning Disabilities Foundation of America, LDA provides articles, guides, and booklets on specific learning disabilities and related disorders and on mental issues, which can co-occur with learning challenges.

Learn more about the different types of learning disabilities, understand how federal education legislation supports children and youth with disabilities, and check out the many resources, organized as follows:

Support and Resources for Parents

Support and Resources for Educators

Support and Resources for Professionals

LDA also includes up-to-date information on legislation, advocacy, events, and state and local LDA chapters. If you are interesting in receiving regular updates, you can subscribe to the free LDA news bulletins.
